PROVEN Management Limited (PML) is the management company of PROVEN Group.  PML through its leadership team, is responsible for managing the operations of PG which includes identifying, analyzing, and negotiating potential investments, monetizing the performance of these investments and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures of PROVEN.

Co-FounderSenator Peter Bunting

Peter Bunting is a Co-Founder of PROVEN Group Ltd. with a successful career in finance that includes co-founding Dehring Bunting & Golding Limited (DB&G) which was acquired by Scotia Group. He currently serves as Chairman of Proven Management Ltd., Proven Properties Ltd., and Roberts Manufacturing Company Ltd./Pinnacle Feeds Ltd. 

In addition to his business ventures, Peter has made significant contributions to public service – currently as Leader of Opposition Business in Jamaica’s Senate, and previously as the Minister of National Security, and as the General Secretary of the People’s National Party. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Mech.) from McGill University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Florida.

Co-Founder & CEOChristopher Williams

In his capacity as the CEO of PROVEN Group, Christopher Williams offers executive strategic leadership for the extensive portfolio of companies with holdings exceeding US$1 billion. He has the responsibility of overseeing the organisation’s complete operations, while also steering the Group’s strategic direction and leadership to fulfil its overarching goals and objectives. Mr. Williams holds an M.B.A. in Strategic Marketing and Finance from York University. Presently, he holds both chairman and director positions across various boards, including PROVEN Properties Limited, Jamaica College Foundation, Jamaica Association for the Deaf, and Professional Football Jamaica Limited.

Co-Founder & DirectorGarfield Sinclair

Garfield “Garry” Sinclair retired in November 2021, but remains an active Director for multiple private and public companies. He previously served as CEO of both Cable & Wireless (Jamaica) Ltd and Bahamas Telecommunications Company, as well as President of Cable & Wireless’ Caribbean operations. Previously to this, he was President & Chief Operating Officer of pioneering Investment Bank, Dehring, Bunting & Golding Limited, where he served for 13 years. Licensed as a CPA in 1983, he holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from San Diego State University and an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. With over 36 years of management experience, Garry continues to serve as a Director for various organizations, including PROVEN Investments Limited, PROVEN Wealth Limited, while being Chairman of PROVEN Bank Limited, Kingston Properties Limited and the Jamaica Stock Exchange Pension Fund.

Co-Founder & DirectorMark Golding

Mark J. Golding is a leading Jamaican commercial Attorney-at-Law and a Partner in the law firm Hart Muirhead Fatta, where he has specialized in capital markets, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. He was a founding shareholder and director of Dehring Bunting & Golding Limited in 1993, and a founding shareholder and director of PROVEN Management Limited in 2010. He has also served on the Boards of several of Jamaica‘s leading companies, was a founding Director of Caribbean Information & Credit Rating Services Limited (CariCRIS, the first regional ratings agency for the Caribbean), and is the Chairman of the Mona Rehabilitation Foundation, a non-profit organization for persons with physical disabilities. 

Mr. Golding has also had an extensive career of public service, initially as a member of the Jamaican Senate from 2007 to 2017, serving with distinction as Jamaica’s Minister of Justice from 2012 to 2016. He was elected the Member of Parliament for South St Andrew in November 2017, whereupon he was appointed the Opposition Spokesperson for Finance and Planning and has been the Leader of the Opposition in Jamaica’s Parliament since November 2020.

DirectorChristopher Bicknell

Christopher Bicknell has earned widespread recognition as one of Jamaica’s foremost and accomplished entrepreneurs. Currently, he holds the esteemed positions of Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O.) at Tankweld Metals Ltd. With an exceptional track record in business leadership, Mr. Bicknell’s contributions have been instrumental in shaping the economic landscape of Jamaica.

Mr. Bicknell’s professional journey is marked by his accreditation as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a testament to his strong financial acumen and deep understanding of the intricacies of managing financial aspects within business enterprises. His expertise in financial matters underscores his commitment to excellence and meticulous approach to steering organisations towards growth and success.

Deputy Group CEOJohann Heaven

Johann Heaven currently holds the position of Group Deputy CEO for the PROVEN Group, where he oversees the Treasury & Investments, Asset Management, Operations, IT, Human Resources, Strategic Planning, Research, and Projects functions. Prior to this role, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of PROVEN Wealth Limited, the Group’s wealth management company in Jamaica.

With over twenty years of experience in finance and banking, Mr. Heaven has developed a wide range of skills in financial analysis, mergers and acquisitions, financial advisory, treasury and asset management, strategic planning, and corporate finance. He has played a pivotal role in the growth and success of the companies he has been involved with.

Mr. Heaven is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification. He earned his Master’s degree in Finance from the University of London.

Group Corporate SecretarySherri Murray

Mrs. Murray has been a member of the PROVEN team since inception and brings a wealth of experience to her new role. With a remarkable tenure spanning more than 25 years in the Financial Services industry, Mrs. Murray has garnered extensive expertise and a sterling reputation. Her impressive career includes notable positions at Scotia DBG Investments Limited and PriceWaterhouseCoopers, solidifying her standing as a highly regarded professional in her field.

Mrs. Murray’s holds a B.Sc. with First Class Honours from the University of the West Indies and an MBA in Finance & International Business from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Her academic achievements demonstrate her commitment to excellence and her ability to bring a well-rounded perspective to her work.

In addition to her role as Company Secretary at PROVEN Group Ltd., Sherri Murray also maintains that role for PROVEN Wealth Ltd, PROVEN Management Ltd., PROVEN Properties Ltd, IFP (Jamaica) Ltd, Heritage Funds International Inc, PROVEN Bank (Cayman) Limited, and Access Financial Services Ltd.

Chief People and Culture OfficerMakeba Bennett-Easy

Makeba Bennett-Easy as the Chief People and Culture Officer, bringing her exceptional expertise and visionary leadership to drive the company’s regional human resources and culture initiatives. Renowned for her strategic acumen and extensive experience across diverse industries, Makeba is poised to elevate PROVEN’s organizational dynamics to new heights.

Affectionately known as ‘likkle but tallawah,’ Makeba has charted an illustrious path in organizational development over her remarkable 22-year career. With a PROVEN track record spanning telecommunications, banking, finance, and advocacy, she has held pivotal roles at prominent organizations such as Digicel, Columbus Communications Limited (Flow), First Global Bank, the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica, and Scotiabank.

Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to fostering workplace excellence, she brings a unique blend of cultural transformation, organizational design, corporate governance, and talent acquisition to the table. Her strategic prowess and hands-on approach consistently translate tactical business plans into impactful HR initiatives, fostering heightened productivity, profitability, and a deeply engaged workforce.

Makeba, a graduate of the University of Leicester with a Master of Science in Human Resources Management & Training and a Post Graduate Certification in Training and Human Resources Development, is a passionate advocate for mentorship and coaching, particularly for young women. Her involvement in various boards, including The MultiCare Youth Foundation, Crime Stop, and now Island Car Rentals’, reflects her dedication to community development and social impact.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Makeba is a firm believer in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Her love for travel adds a unique dimension to her personality, contributing to a well-rounded approach to life.

As the Chief People and Culture Officer at PROVEN, Makeba will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s ethos and defining leadership practices across all levels. Leveraging her comprehensive understanding of talent development, employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion, she will serve as a key strategic partner to the Group CEO and the executive leadership team, providing invaluable insights on all people-related matters.

Region 1 - President & CEO - PROVEN WealthSimona Watkis

Simona is an accomplished and multitalented Executive with domestic and regional experience in sales, business development, operations, P&L responsibility, multichannel product distribution and marketing, involving both start up and growth organizations. She was previously the CEO of NCB Capital Markets (Barbados) Limited where she led the strategic direction with full responsibility for local and regional business expansion and product development. 

During the time she successfully led a team of revenue drivers in wealth management, syndication, and investment banking, along with other business critical functional operations to ensure that all aspects of the company were efficient. At Proven Wealth (Cayman) Limited, Simona will be responsible for regional expansion and fostering development within the market by providing investors with greater investment opportunities particularly through fixed income investments and structured financing. She sits as Director of the Barbados Stock Exchange, where she serves on the Audit & Finance Committee and the Viability Committee. As a member of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce she serves as council member and sits on the Finance Committee.  Simona currently lives in the Cayman Islands and has lived and worked in the Caribbean for over (20) years.  

Region 2 - President & CEOLuwanna Williams

Luwanna Williams is President and CEO for PROVEN Wealth Jamaica. She is charged with the development and execution of revenue generating strategies for Proven Wealth Jamaica. She is committed to delivering on the Company’s mission of providing sound investment advice and best-in-class service to its clients, while achieving superior value for all stakeholders.

Luwanna brings over 16 years’ experience in the local financial sector spanning the areas of Investment Banking, Financial Regulation and Financial Risk Management. Throughout her career in Corporate Finance, she has assisted companies in the public and private sectors to raise over J$36 billion in capital through the local and regional debt and equity markets. Luwanna has had a stellar career in the local finance sector having worked with JN Fund Managers Limited, Jamaica National Building Society and the Bank of Jamaica.

She holds a Master of Business Administration in Banking and Finance, along with a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance (Special) from the University of the West Indies, Mona.

CEO - PROVEN PropertiesAisha Campbell

Aisha Campbell has led in the field of construction, development and engineering for more than a decade with passion, enthusiasm and innovation. A registered Professional Engineer in both Jamaica and the United States; her transformational leadership agility in being strategic while creating empowering environments to foster excellence and innovation are a few of the hallmarks that she has brought to her role as the Chief Executive Officer of PROVEN Properties Limited. 

With prior leadership experience, having served as the General Manager of West Indies Home Contractors Limited’s (WIHCON’s) Real Estate Development Division, where she played a critical role in the successful planning and execution of several large-scale housing communities throughout Jamaica; Aisha uses her strategic development skills to continue to meaningfully deliver value based on customer desires and cutting edge trends, alongside driving high performance and standards within the sector. Aisha’s groundbreaking leadership style and transformational vision is proven. 

Aisha is a member of the Jamaica Institution of Engineers having served on the Council and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree (First Class Honours) from the University of the West Indies. She also completed her Masters of Science in Civil Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters in Business Administration (Distinction) at the Mona School of Business and Management. 

CEO Private CapitalNerisha Davis Farquharson

Nerisha Farquharson, CFA, has over 15 years of experience in Investment Management, with extensive exposure spanning financial services regulation, treasury and trading, asset and liability management, portfolio risk management, asset valuation and alternative investment acquisitions and mergers.

Nerisha is currently the Vice President, Private Capital where she leads PGL proprietary investments in private Debt and Equity. This includes framework building and execution of the private capital life cycle from due diligence, integration, value creation and exit. Prior to this, she led the Treasury and Proprietary Investments Team at PROVEN Wealth, a PGL subsidiary, in the capacity of Senior Manager.  She holds a BBA in Finance (honors) and an MBA in International Business with distinction, from the University of the West Indies, Mona. She is a CFA Charter Holder since 2012 and is currently a Board member of the Caribbean Alternative Investments Investment, Access Financial Services, and an Alternate on the Roberts Manufacturing Company.
