Makeba Bennett-Easy, chief people and culture officer at PROVEN Group, said the partnership reflects its commitment to supporting initiatives that foster positive change in the communities it serves.
“Our collaboration on this initiative underscores our belief in shared responsibility for community development. We anticipate that this donation will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of Project STAR, contributing to tangible and sustainable outcomes,” she explained. “We look forward to witnessing the positive impact of Project STAR and will continue to collaborate on future endeavours,” she added.
Saffrey Brown, project director of Project STAR, in commending the partnership said Project STAR looks forward to working with the PROVEN Group which has shown its commitment to support social change in underserved communities.
“We are happy to formalise this collaboration with PROVEN Group, a partnership that represents a union of shared values and commitment in supporting programmes and activities within the communities where we work,” she said.
Brown said halfway through the second year of Project STAR, early indicators are showing that they are trending in the right direction.
“We’ve impacted over 3,000 people through a variety of initiatives. Most importantly, over 1,800 citizens of these communities have engaged in planning and execution of programmes to date,” she added.
Meanwhile, approximately 74 people have secured jobs through the project’s Employment pillar – an activity that includes job readiness training and certification in collaboration with HEART NSTA Trust.
